| I guess I'm kinda weird about that kind of thing. I don't have my college degree hanging up. It's not that I'm not proud of it. I'm very proud of it. It just feels to me that I don't need to prove to others how great I am.
I also have no ill thoughts about those who do display their pride. My wife's nursing degree is hanging on the wall, and I'm fine with that. Our sensei's black belt certificates are hanging in a trophy case, along with his trophies, and I stop by to admire them periodically (particularly the one he earned in Okinawa). It's just that with mine, it feels like the paper is extraneous. I know what I have, and that's all I really care about. |
