I need 3 or 4 people to +rep Spinach. Giving advice like this out for free that he could normally charge for to faceless names on a publicly available medium takes a huge amount of courage resisting the 'gate keeper' trend in modern education. Above all, he is following through on his advice. You are an inspiration to us all. (I would start a similar thread, but no one here cares about math.

I have heard rumors that taking in fiber can increase your metabolic rate leading to certain foods having a net calorie loss. The major rumor about this is that it takes more energy to digest celery than it is worth. After a little research on line I have found that there is some opposition to this idea of a 'negative calorie food.' There is also a drink (I believe it has caffeine in it) that claims to burn about 40 calories in one can. It is called Enviga.
What is your take on these 'negative calorie foods' and can I really lose weight by eating a lot of them instead of exercising like some websites propose? (Note: I don't plan to stop working out, but I do want to eat more efficiently when I am not specifically dining for flavor as opposed to sustenance.)
