Is it possible for the body to repair itself faster just by increasing the amount of protein you ingest or is time still a factor?
Back in the day, 4yrs now, I used to take Creatine. With how juiced I felt on that stuff I can only imagine how steroids make people feel. I used to play ball for hours and then lift and never failed a set, I felt like Superman. My question is, what are the pros and cons of creatine use from your experience? |
For the cardio the stress is actually on your whole energy system and also your nervous system. After hardcore intervals and hill sprints and the like the nervous system gets tired, so interchanging with easy as cardio can assist recovery whilst helping to maintain conditioning.
For the protein yes, if you increase the amount you ingest you will recover faster to an extent. But you need to increase it over the whole day rather then just one meal as you know there is a limit to how much one can absorb in one sitting.
For the creatine there are a few cons. If you stay on it for too long and don't cycle your body can actually become reliant and stop producing it. Two months on one off is a good benchmark. Also if you are using poor grade creatine you might be spending more quality time with your toilet. Other then that creatine is awesome. If you use it right there are no cons and it basically supercharges ones performance and therefore gains.
