If you want to lose large amounts of weight fast then it is certainly worth your time. It is best to use this method in a concerted effort to lose weight as it is hard to maintain for long periods of time, as you said, as it does require alot of attention. There are ways to cheat this of course, by eating fruit or things like carrots, you will get hungry more often and will desire to eat more often, and those items are not difficult to prepare. In this way you will become very healthy and lose weight. Eating like this for a large part of the day will also have you feeling bright and alert. This is why I always recommend that people stick to raw fruit and veg for the first half or more of the day, by default it will be awsome, confusing details not necessary. And this is easy to stick to because of the ease of preparation.
