I fight hard (I'm still a yellow belt), and sometimes am able to give a good hit or two, though after sparring with him I get rather winded and need to sit and catch my breath for a few minutes. I drink about half of my 1.5L water bottle and lack as much energy as I usually have through the rest of my time at the dojo. I recognize that my weakness here is stamina as well as pain threshold (which is how this relates to the thread). I am normally able to easily withstand hits from the other students, it's only this sempai I have trouble with. What do you guys think of this? |
Maybe its fear?
Endurance wasnt a problem until i sparred with my Sifu, thought the 3 minutes were really long......the time keeper was so engrossed he forgot to stop the spar until 7 1/2 minutes . Was off the mats on my hands and knees gasping for air after!
