| theres alot of reasons we dont spar in ninjutsu schools.
couple of reasons are its not for sport competitions and some of the techniques are very dangerous. some schools may occasionally spar or once in a blue moon.
i used to be kinda throwed off by this but came to see why theres no sparring later on.
but when we do drills and techniqes on each other....you start off compliant so u can get the proper form and technique
an also for the uke or "victim" can learn proper breakfalls in the case of throws and takedowns
then as you get the techniqe down. your partner will become more resistant and attack or grab you in an Alive manner
like if your practicing a technique on how to get out of a full nelson for example u start off compliant tell u get the proper form an technique down.....then your attacker will start
applying the full nelson more forcefully and "alive" for u to get out of it in a more realistic manner rather than compliant
