| Sifu David Rogers,_Rising Crane in the UK-his Sifu, or Si-Gung knows him very well. The late Chan Tai-San of Lama P'ai was well aquainted with him. Chow-Hung was also awarded with a plaque by the Chinese Gov't declaring him one of China's Living Treasures. (Chan Tai-San has the same honors as well.)It was written by one of China's greatest modern day calligraphers. I would assume Dai Seng Pek Kwa Grandmaster, Chan Sau-Chung knows him, as they were classmates. He also organized the largest lion dance in China,300 lion dancers.
So, he is well-known, but you need to know the people who know him. Like I said, different circles. You also need to realize, many of the biggest names in Chinese Martial Arts, that we all recognize,are only known to the people that read the magazines. You go outside of their fishbowl, and many of them are not seen with the same eyes. |
