| Its all situational. For example, if you are forced to the ground a BJJ guy is probably gonna do way more damage than a TKD guy. However, if you are standing up, that round house kick to the head isn't going to feel too good. This is a simplistic example, so don't read too much into it.
My personal opinion is that you fight how you tain. Style is secondary. If you train to maximize damage while recieving the minimal then you'll do exactly that in a fight. If you train to do something else, like pose and look pretty, then that is what you will do in a fight. Of course posing and looking pretty probably won't do a lot for saving yourself... |
