I'm just curious; exactly what are your rules for a karate tournament?
Myself I go with these rules:
For children 5 to 13:
1 point head w/ punch
1 point body w/ punch
2 points head w/ kick
2 points for throw or joint-lock
2 points for knock down
win if you knock the opponent down 3 times in match or make them submit.
3 five minute rounds
For Adults 14 & up:
1 point head w/ punch
1 point body w/ punch
2 points head w/ kick
2 points for throw or joint-lock
2 points for knock down
win if you knock/choke the opponent out in match or make them submit.
1 15 to 20 minute round |
