| The kungf fu school I used to go to had a tourament every year. The kid's rules were basic point fighting. One point awarded to a good clean shot. No face, groin, back of the head, or kicks to the lower leg. The adult's had two divisions. They had the point fighting without many of the strike zone restrictions of course. The other division was continious. Two three minute rounds. If those were a draw then a third would go on to decide the winner. No contact to the lower leg. There weren't points awarded. You won the round by controlling your opponnent or showing better fighting skill. Breaks were only called if an opponent was chases out of the ring ( only allowed twice before disqulification ) or a fighter was put into a position they could not recover or defend themselves from. |
