Since your profile states that you are only 23, I'd have to say you are definitely not too old to start practicing martial arts. As a matter of fact, I don't believe any age is 'too old.' I've known martial artists who began in their forties and fifties and still practice today. Shop around. Look for a good school that fits what you are looking for in a martial art - self defense, grappling, kickboxing, etc. Try out a free lesson if you can. Good luck.
