This reflects upon two things in my mind;
One, is it worth doing it for a hour, wheras a stance set-up diferrently could not have the average/beginner going past, say 20 minutes.
Two, is I wouldnt see a complete value in doing a stance up to a hour. (Mainly of limited time and to train in other things.) | the actual way i learned was just to do 30 minutes but i was trying to prove a point so i did an hour
