| Maybe the politicians you are related to are the exception. Rich people want high level elected offfice for the power and contacts it brings. While some make money while they are in office, many more make it after they leave office. Once they leave office they aren't bound by those stuffy ethics laws. They can start using thier previous contacts as lobbyist. Being a lobbyist is where the money is. I'm suprised you don't know this 47MM, considering just a little reading would show it. Its risky for politicians to make too much money under the table while in office, but not when they become lobbyist. |
