now i mean mimicking as in doing what they see and thats it, but looking at someone do a technique on the TV or movies or even your sensei, is not mimicking as long as you see what the technique is for, how its applied, etc etc. | Well, in a sense, even under a qualified instructor, one would want to "mimick" a technique. However, that instructor would know if it was a mimick of perfection or reflection.
