One of the others is Unsu, which is also another kata which is the same but different from Dojo to Dojo and system to system. The other is Basai Dai. I have always been taught by my instructor that it means "To penitrate a fortress the long way", however, I am now finding that isn't so.

As for Basai Dai's origins...Well...It's a bit sketchy beyond some point. I'll give you MY lineage, and go back as far as I can. I learned it from my instructor: Sensei Isais Valdovinos then to Sensei Morris Mack, Walter Todd O'Sensei, Kanken Toyama O'Sensei, Anko Itosu O'Sensei, Sokan Matsumura O'Sensei, Tode Sakugawa O'Sensei, and the Kung Kusanku.

Now, Basai Dai can be traced back to Sokan Matsumura, but beyond him, it is hard to trace.
