Those are measurements used to gauge how good someone's individual skills are. But they are not a measure of how one will perform when asked to put them all together.
This is true of any sport. Let's look at the NFL Draft process.
Every year, anyone wanted to play in the NFL is put through a Combine where they are asked to perform certain athletic movements in front of prospective team. They are asked to, and judged on things like:
- How fast can you run 40 yards?
- How well can you catch a football on the run?
- How far can you throw a football?
- How well can you stop and turn to catch a football?
These are just examples of the testing. So, based on how well you perform at this the teams try to determine who is good and they basically bid on them.
And ever year there are multiple players who end up being a huge flop! They test well in the combine, but they can't handle playing in the NFL for whatever reason. So at the end of the day, they are not good footbally players.
Same with fighters. How well you look doing bag drills does not mean you will be a good fighter.
