| I didn't watch the entire game so I don't know how the officiating went but wouldn't be surprised if Celtics got the home court advantage, as all NBA teams do.
I call Lakers selfish (Shaq and Kobe era) because they were and the media played it up. Everybody knew the feud that went between the two, and between Kobe and Phil Jackson. Phil even wrote a book about it. Even though they won 3 championships and 4 finals appearance in Phil's first 5 years of coaching, the team fell apart because of their egos not because of their basketball skills. As a anti-Laker fan, I would go even one step further and say they won many of the games because refs let Shaq get away with so many offensive fouls and anybody even touches him were called for. Now that Shaq is not the big star he once was and when he tried to do the same thing in Miami and Phoenix, he gets the foul and made him so ineffective in games. So, if the refs were consistent, would they have won all those championships? hmmmm. |
