Fill a battery-powered water gun with red kool aid and see if you or people who train with you, can disarm without getting squirted.
However, the one factor of the gun is intimidation without effort.
Revolvers are hardly used in the US from criminals, so practicing the thumb in the hammer catch can be useless.
Gun muggings usually occur when someone is in the opportunistic element of the mugger.
