Chinese Sabre?

Hello all,

I have been browsing the internet looking for a new sword... I am always looking to expand my collection and to practice with different styles of sword to increase my versatility in sword fighting.
I was looking at some Paul Chen swords, I have one or two and know them to be of good quality for sparring, when I saw a small range of chinese sabres...

They are roughly the same shape as a semi- straightened katana, same blade length and same shape cross section of the blade, a handle long enough for powerful two handed attacks and yet light enough to be used in one hand. The blade however, only has a slight curve and is still single edged.
Given the shape of the blade I'm sure it would have greater strength than a dao (my favourite sword) but would the strength of the blade be compromised given that the sword is so light?

Has anyone seen or used these swords before and if so, what is it like to use?

Any help/info appreciated cheers

Dave
