Yes i see what you mean, actually its prounced Tao and is the basis for Taoist belief, the original application wat religous and until 1650's was not generally included in martial concepts as buddhism held sway in the era. Your point is quite valid, my meaning though is that it is not as pronounced as in korean and japanese martial culture.
