| That's why there are contract disputes...especially with Randy. UFC doesn't like competition. Fighters are signed to multiple fight deals exclusively to UFC and they are not allowed to fight anywhere else. Fighters feel they don't get a fair share of all the money UFC is making. UFC feels they deserve all the money since they pioneered the MMA that is today while they were losing money in the beginning. Affliction gave those big names guys a lot more money than UFC ever would (e.g. Tim Sylvia got $800K for 1 fight) but the question remains whether they can stay in business operating that way. |
