| I've been lucky enough not to encounter a serious injury in training or competition but have seen many! I tend to get annoying minor injuries - pulled hamstrings etc. I did get an injury i thought was quite serious when we were practising "special technique", which is basically flying kicks. As i landed on a concrete floor knee first which actually meant i couldnt get up and walk for about ten minutes due to the pain. I just let nature do its course rather than a doctor and it healed in a couple of weeks! Other injuries have included split lips from being punched in the face in competition and over-doing knuckle conditioning and damaging the bone too much. I just hope i am not tempting fate by saying i've had no serious injuries! |
