Matt Lindland vs. Vitor Belfort

Round 1
Belfort knocks Lindland stiff with a left hand. He finishes the job with some follow up pound. What unfolds next is down right frightening. Lindland is down for quite sometime, and even minutes later it seems as though he’s trying to single-leg a doctor. The ring is full of medical personnel as they hold Lindland down and force a neck brace on the out-of-it fighter. Finally, Lindland comes to and sits in a submissive manner and tells an EMT he’s fine. The brace is removed and Lindland walks out of the ring under his own power. The official time is 0:37 of round one.

Josh Barnett vs. Gilbert Yvel

Round 1
Yvel lands a hard low kick to the left leg of Barnett. Barnett clinches and Yvel tees off with short punches. Taking lots of punishment, Barnett smartly drags Yvel to the floor. From half-guard, Barnett tweaks the arm but he can’t finish. Barnett raises his posture to punch before advancing to side-control. Now back in half guard, Barnett applies another kimura before moving to mount. Barnett tees off and Yvel punches back. Yvel rolls over and takes a beating but he survives. I can't take the credit for the write up...

I was hoping for the Arlovski upset but Fedor came through. He is a baaaaaaaaaaad man. who else can challenge him? They were talking about Josh Barnett but is he really in the same league? Guess we'll find out soon enough, if Affliction is still around by then.
