Dim Mak, also know as Death Touch, is the ancient martial art of striking vital points of an opponent’s body. These strikes are engineered to cause “knock-out”, death or delayed reaction in the opponent.
These vital points are the same as used for healing in acupuncture and other Asian healing arts. Dim Mak is an integral part of all martial arts. However, very few instructors know much of specific Dim Mak techniques, and those that do are reluctant to pass on this knowledge to their students.
Most pressure points are located along the center line, an important concept of many Kung Fu styles including Wing Chun Kung Fu. Pressure points exist in the arms, legs, back and head, and they are also considered when protecting major striking targets along the centre line.

Sorry, well I guess I just put in more info, and yes, it is extremely hard to master, plus some techniques are extremely dangerous and deadly. That's why masters are always hesitant to teach their students everything.

the funny thing is alot of it is in wing chun, and some of the wing chun masters ive come in contact with have taught some to some pretty big assholes that will likly bully someone. But i guess its all about the money now adays
I don't think that there are any masters who have super secret deadly techniques that they teach to a select few. And no, this isn't all about the money. It more has to do with the mastery of technique that needs to go into learning some of these advanced moves. This mastery of technique goes above and beyond general physical conditioning.
I know noth-thing (as Shultz would say) about Dim Mak but when it comes to nerve striking I always thought there were sequences to be followed, not a single BAM!
The "legend" has it that someone who have mastered the "Dim Mak" or "Touch of Death" can hit someone without any outside appearance damage but can induce internal damage to the body where someone who was hit by this Dim Mak will die within certain amount of time or after taking certain number steps.
You see another example of this in the movie "Kill Bill 2" where Uma character hits David Carradine character at the end with Dim Mak and Bill dies after taking so many steps.
is the Dim Mak suppose to be one point or is it a general term for places that can induce death when hit correctly?
for example, if you hit the temple right you can kill a person, or the one inch punch to the chest causes heart pulpitations and will kill someone with heart problems. a good strike to the throat will cause someone to sufficate to death. and so on.
The Dim Mak is for the most part the same thing in concept as accupuntcure. The difference is that instead of needles you use your bodies force to strike the pressure points along the spinal cord, heart, nose, and testicales to cause great pain, to parralyze or sometimes even death.
