Mixing it up

I have talked to some about Tai Chi Chuan, I am interested in it as a martial art. Unfortunately there are few who know how to teach it as a martial art so I was giving an option from fivelemental that I'd like to be discussed. Could a person just take the tai chi he can get and then add another martial arts to it? It doesn't have to be just tai chi and another martial art but I just thought some one on here knew atleast a bit more than what's been posted about tai chi chuan.

polyfool is on a distinguished road

i believe that the internal arts are best used with another art, the forms are mainly for teaching the body to move correctly

it is hard to mix TaijiQuan with others. Its study is ardurous on its own.
