Oh good...so now we know who the real troll is trying to promote their "school". LOL I don't think I've gone so far as to listing any prices anywhere...here or on my personal site. I also haven't listed my phone number here. If ppl see my postings and think they have value, they might click on my link in my signature. If they happen to be close enough to my location, they MIGHT call. The liklyhood of that happening is pretty slim though.

I don't know what I did to attract such "attention" from you, but rest assured, it isn't really appreciated. Do I get on here and blast other ppl? Not really. I have disagreements with them yes, and we discuss them....but we do so in a (get this part) MATURE way. (At least I try to) So far, all you have had to offer up is a few posts which are trying to slander my name and pulling out personal attacks. Please....I don't have time for such nonsense. You are clearly showing those values your Sifu instilled within you during your training. Note the sarcasm here? Then after trying to personally attack me, you try to cover it up and sweep it under the carpet. A lame attempt too, really. Don't worry though, ppl will see you for what you are by these few posts you have made today. Cheers youngster!

What have I said that is slander? I have not said anything bad about you. Now if I said that you lied about your rank and was only a brown belt and really didn't know jack about martial arts that might be grounds for slander. Or if I said that you only taught martial arts so you could be around little kids because you were a petafile then that might would be slander. But I didn't say that nor would I say it because I don't know it to be true. But I didn't say that did I? Hell I've been called a troll and a larper and a lot worse, big deal.

Here is what I see some interesting discrepancies:

Requirements for White Sash through 2nd Level Black
Black sash...How Original....

White sash - Shaolin Power Drill
The power to make people think they doing something of merit

1st Level Black sash – 4 Animal Plus Lohan
Speaking of Lohan, wasnt Lindsay in Kung Fu Panda with the Animals?

2nd Level Black sash - Hou Chuan – Monkey Fist
Is that with its hands or feet, seeing that monkeys can ball up their feet like fists.

2nd Level Black Sash - 7 Star Praying Mantis
This cannot be included. it is an entire system that could not be just "touched upon"

Weapons Forms:
Purple sash - Dan Dao – Broadsword

Dan ought to get back his sword.

Mule kick – white sash
Oh, I dont want to go there...

Roundhouse kick– yellow sash
Ax kick - purple sash

In Chinese MA?

Dragon kick - 1st level brown sash
How does a Dragon kick?

1st Level Black Sash: Know 5 Self-Defense Escapes From These Situations:
These was shown in basic SD on college campuses.
Double wrist grab
Rear bear hug
Side club attack
Single wrist grab
Front bear hug
Downward club attack
Side club attack
Downward knife attack
Lapel grab
Rear arm lock
Lunging knife to the mid-section
Hair grab
Rear choke hold
Side head lock from standing position

Poison Hand Strikes (should know all by red sash):
Poison hand from touching poison ivy?

Reverse punch
In Chinese MA?

Snake bite
Crab bite
Lobster claw
Chicken wrist

I was looking for Tiger Bite, Monkey Bite, Mosquito Bite, Ant Bite, Mega Byte, Lobster Tail, and Chicken Wing

Back fist
Hammer fist
Ridge hand
Palm strike
2 finger poke

Common

Open tiger’s mouth

Spear hand strike

Dragon tail strike
Ox hand strike
Poison thumb strike
Phoenix eye

Tiger claw
Iron thumb
Trigger finger
Crane beak
Leopard paw
Thumb strike
Immortal man strike
Lacerations

Isolation Kicks (breaking the kick down into a four count, side kick, roundhouse, front kick only)

Punch Defenses - 1 through 40 (know all 40 for 1st level black sash)

Snake Breathing Exercise - Red Sash

Chin Na - 1 through 10 (1st level black) 11 – 15 (2nd level black sash)

Eight (8) point blocks with strikes – white sash (add the strikes @ green sash)

Two man forearm to forearm blocking drill - yellow sash

Basic pressure points (should be learned around green sash level).

Break one and two concrete patio tiles. (1st & 2nd level black sash)

Grappling skills: Start @ Green Sash
Shoot, sprawl, sit out, stand up, guard position, half guard position, butterfly guard, knee on stomach position, north south position, side mount position, mount position, single leg takedown, double leg takedown, ankle pick, cross ankle pick, fireman’s carry, ankle trip, straight arm bars (from guard, mount and side mount), shoulder cranks, duck under, helicopter arm bar, kimura, leg locks, knee lock, Americana, rear naked choke, 2 front chokes from mount position without using gi, front choke from mount position using the gi, guillotine, triangle choke, double arm bar from guard position, 2 single arm bars from guard position, dragon sleeper with rear guard, figure four lag lock, scorpion death lock (finishing hold for Sting), cobra clutch (finishing hold for Sgt. Slaughter), ankle lock (finishing hold for Kurt Angle), standing suplex, neck crank, dragon whip takedown, surf board

This sounds right out of the pages of a comic book.

Kung Fu does have a form of grappling though called Shuai Jiao (pronounced shway jow).

DOH!!!!

Belt ranks at my school go as follows: White, yellow, green purple, blue, red,
2nd brown, 1st brown, 1st level black, 2nd level black

Sounds like Karate

The title of this thread had such promise as being a fun and light hearted discussion. But now it's sunk to name calling and poorly vieled insults.
Anyway, back to the original thread. If anybody is interested, I'm the ox. Horny and full of gas.

47 Martial Man.....yes we have a reverse punch in CMA, sometimes called front punch. No there is no such thing as a masquito bite or monkey bite or any of that other sarcastic crap you mentioned. As for the mantis form, that was a form I picked up off of a friend and liked it so I decided to include it in my curriculum. We can do that in CMA.....make our own curriculum that is. We aren't governed by politics of organizations like the International TKD Federation or the American TKD Association or any of those other org. that you have to pay to belong to and have them order you around and them tell you how to run your school. We're cooler than that.

Everything you've stated are arguably benefits, but isn't it harder to monitor which schools are genuine/ have a good lineage/ aren't belt factories?

JaysonEmo has a spectacular aura about

keep the Drama out people...I'm definately a snake...about 2 months ago i was rolling in class with this guy names jason...22 professional fights Blue belt in BJJ.... I took his back early in the round and got a one armed rear naked...He did 2 on 1 on my right arm...I refused to give it up and rode his back for 3 to 4 minutes...I was putting it all into that one arm choke just to see if i could pull it off...I know 99% of the time your not gonna choke them out if they are an experienced fighter but i wanted to push it...after the round one of the brown belts said "Your a damn snake dude he wasn't get away from you"....Jason said that he about went out 3 times....I'm very strong and when i get on someone i don't get pulled or knocked off..

Adding stuff for the sake of cool isnt.

Picking of dabs here and there and sticking them in a curriculum is too gratuitous or superfluous.

Easy. Cause when pepople start blending too much without any term of longevity and understanding, it is only there to seek out uneccesary merit and also to mention for the sake of "cool"

A rose by any other name is still a rose. As far as Lobster Claw, Crab claw, and all of that other rot, either seems like a Saturday Morning "B" movie after watching while leaving the hotel room to eat at the seafood buffet in Vegas.

What, you mean you didn't see the classic "Shaolin vs Ninja" film. The ninja used a crab technique, walking sidewards into the water everything.

I think I saw that one, was it a Japanese vs Chinese thing, where the Chinese guy was the protagonist?

LOL I have that on VHS. Very poor quality and choreography isn't going to make anyone go ooh or ahh, but funny film. Especially since it was a gift, so it didn't cost me anything

Yeah the Chinese guy was the protagonist. He beat masters in judo, karate, sai, nunchaku and a ninja.
