You may have noticed "Reputation:" and a green box next to your name in all your posts. I just want to explain what this is.
It's just an indicator of member's "reputation" on this forum. As the forum gets larger and you have a lot more members, it just gives you some indication of what kind of "reputation" the member has and you can take his post with grain of salt.
If you like someone's post, you can click on this symbol

to give someone
reputation points by your
reputation power amount by approving the post. By disapproving the post, you take away someone's reputation points by your reputation power amount.
Everybody starts off with 10 reputation points and 1 reputation power.
Reputation power is how many points you can give / take away from other member's reputation
You cannot give yourself any reputation points.
Your reputation power increase by one every 365 days of being a member here.
You also get a additional reputation power for every 500 posts. (Changed from 1000)
Every 50 reputation points you have, you also gain additional reputation power. (Changed from 100)
You cannot give reputation point to a same user, until at least 5 others have given reputation points to that user.
You can only give 10 reputation points in a day.
You have to have at least 25 posts, before you can give someone reputation points. (Changed from 25)
If your reputation points is below 10, you cannot give anyone reputation points.
Basically, the more reputation points you have, it means you have been on this forum for a long time, have posted many good posts, and other members respect you.
You get extra reputation box for every 25 reputation points (Updated)
