I guess misplacing the BB cert is the same as misplacing the HS or College grad cert.

Strange how the BB cert is misplaced but not the belt.

When I got my ist dan BB certificate I put it in my file cabinet along with my diploma, college degree, and other important papers. Later on when I moved I put my BB cert in a frame and hung it in my office. I dont see anything wrong with hanging your certificate and showing your sense of accomplishment.

I have my college diploma(s) framed in my office. I would also put my blackbelt certificate, if I still have it but can't find it as it's been sooooooo long ago.

I guess I'm kinda weird about that kind of thing. I don't have my college degree hanging up. It's not that I'm not proud of it. I'm very proud of it. It just feels to me that I don't need to prove to others how great I am.
I also have no ill thoughts about those who do display their pride. My wife's nursing degree is hanging on the wall, and I'm fine with that. Our sensei's black belt certificates are hanging in a trophy case, along with his trophies, and I stop by to admire them periodically (particularly the one he earned in Okinawa). It's just that with mine, it feels like the paper is extraneous. I know what I have, and that's all I really care about.

yes, it seem that a college diploma has more worthc than a HS or BB cert.

I hope to go for my BB by the end of this year, and I think that I'll do with it the same thing I did with my other study certs (College, University, Diploma, Master), I'll put it in a drawer.

It certainly costed more to get one.

I'm worried that by the time my kids go to college, the tuition will be like several hundred thousand dollars.

The price of "living" goes up, such does education.

Still, it would seem odd that anyone would misplace their BB cert and not their BB.
