If you had to base your fighting style (your own personal style not necessarily the one you study) on an animal what would it be? Or what are your favorite type of techniques to do? When I was young and naive I thought that dragons were the most powerful
creatures, so that's what I liked to think of myself as. However, I
didn't act very much like a dragon.
However, I was born in the year of the monkey and my favorite techniques are monkey techniques. I also really like leopard and snake techniques. But if I had to choose, I would say the majority of my fav techniques are monkey. I like the monkey because he is calm and wise. He waits for the attack and counters it unexpectedly.
Say a couple of animal styles that you like but then your animal of choice and why.
I would have to say that my fighting style either resembles that of a snake or a wolverine. I coil and like to fight with counter-attacks like a snake, but, in real world situations, I have been known to just get really viscious like a wolverine. The animal, not the X-Man.

umm i don't really know.
at one time i am joint locking and using tiger and eagle claws , then next i am going all out punches and kicks. I have no clue this time. um, when i sparred this Capoeira guy, i used monkey movements against him but that is only because monkeys stay low to the ground, and get in close, so that is how i beat him.
other than that i was also born year of the monkey, an dwhen i sparr, sometimes i have a "vicious" style and i am very aggressive, but on the other hand i am calm and counter attack with stop hits.
imma just choose, but i like the monkey, dragon, and tiger animal styles. I would say mantis but that is not an animal it is an insect

Well, I've been told..(i don't know how true this is, but) that I fight like a cat.. In sparring I like to feel out my opponent and take control if possible, or if my opponent is much larger/quicker than myself, I like to take away the difference and bridge the gap. In "real" fights I usually pounce, I don't tend to hesitate once I've made my mind up to strike.. So yeah.. I'll go with Tiger (not to mention it is my favorite animal )

Wolverine by the definition given in DWNK on our catalog. I focus on one goal in a fight is the complete destruction of my opponent. If they die in the process, oops... I don't start fights so I really don't care what happens to those who do. If you bring it on yourself, by biting off more then you can chew... Hey the blood is on your hands
Tiger by 5 animals kung-fu, total focus on offense.

Sorry, I didn't mean to exclude insects! Ok, how about you base your style on any living thing. Bugs, plants fish, the works.
What describes you as a martial artist. You could say a willow tree for all I care.
Wolf-Ape... not really a particular style but the way i fight. I circle look for an opening then pile in driving my opponent back then i pull off and repeat.
Lather Rinse
Repeat.

I was born in the year of the dragon so I have to say thats kinda my strength but I am more alike the fox. (The fox is also my fav. animal.) Because I can be sly and sometime sneaky and unsuspected. But I also have great speed in punches and kicks too.

I would have to say it depends on the style I'm using at the time.I love the Wolf,Tiger, bear,Panther, and the Lion.So my techniques usually consist of those animals.
Oh I almost forgot to mention that my absolute favorite
animal is the wolf.Because they are protective to those they love, and feirce to the enemies of wich they want to protect from.
