To answer this question, a saying comes to my mind. "One good turn deserve another". If you are the good guy, never hurt anybody, a good samaritan, is there any reason for anybody to hurt you? On the other hand, "what goes around comes around".
Sometimes stuff happens. I never look for fights. Fighting for the sake of fighting is just plain stupid and risks your health for nothing. However, there are people in this world that make you decide on whether to use violence or just accept violence on yourself. This has nothing to do with being the good samaritan or good guy. More often than not, it depends upon just plain old bad luck and being in the wrong place and the right time.

I say it is more of being at the wrong place at the wrong time as I have different views about luck, good or bad.

Simply, it is also lifestyle and environment. Percentages increase or decrease in accordance. However, this is not to state that nothing will happen at all.

well here it goes.
im not gonna add details because there is no need to, plus i dont want to sound cocky or nothing.
but

in 2nd grade (i had almost a year in Kyokushin practice under my belt) and this kid picked on my bro. ended up kicking him and he didnt get hurt but i guess i scared him.

after that just a few street fights, and a LOT of sparring.
a LOT of practice and training, but thats about it.
almost got into about 4 fights this year but i am glad i didnt, and kept my cool.

no competitions because i was never in a sport martial art, only traditional or modern types, that taught stuff you wouldnt dare using in a match with rules.

oh and there is a mongolian guy who is picking on me at school who is a blackbelt in TKD and is taking Muay Thai, and from what i hear he knows what hes doing so im guessing its no mcdojo.
but i hope my head gets me out of this one because this is gonna be the first real fight with another martial artist............one more experienced at that
Out of curiosity you Muay Thai listed as one of your styles but, you say you never did a sport martial art, Just wondering why?

Out of defense, or the first move to start (cold-cock)?

I remember when I was stupid enough to fight for the sake of fighting, god had issues then but its all better I cancelled the subscription. lol

As for fight history:
From what I can remember, since I don't do tournaments anymore and the last one I did was in the Army. Before that I was 19 I think and did a JKA tournament in the Marines. Had a few street-fights and have choked out a few buddies of mine sparring but I really don't do tournaments, more of a combat martial arts type of guy...

In the ring I normally try to be first and dictate the pace of the fight. I've never cold cocked anyone.

Same here, and also once had cold cocked someone else.

What was the result on your receiving end?

nascarmike71 is on a distinguished road

Two tournaments eliminated early. Two fights in grade school & two fights in high school. Lost the first fight i was ever in and decided losing was not for me. Did not lose any of the others. Most times i was the easy target due to my size. Several times in school i was picked on for a couple of months before reacting. When my potential opponent found out i did not care about winning or losing only hurting them they backed down. It's amazing what can be done without raising ones voice. Had a knife to my throaght in a bar once i knew i could disarm him but did not feel like getting cut in a bar & managed to peacable take knife away. Last one is my fave story.

oh well thats because i only took it for a short time and only learned a few basics. so i dont really consider that enough to go into my martial arts resume. only took muay thai for a month but because i really liked it, and i am thinking about taking more classes again, thats why i put it in my styles list.

if i had my whole list in there it would be Kyokushin Karate, Judo, TKD, Muay Thai, Wah Lum Tam Tui, and Jing Ga Quan.
i know TKD, judo, Kyokushin, and Muay thai are sports but there are also schools that teach the traditional.
