Does anyone go to a school where they refuse to teach students who have voiced that they only take MA so they don't get beaten up when they pick fights with others? In other words, only take MA for self offense not self defense.

I've not seen anyone come into a school and say they want to learn to fight so they can start fights. Seems someone would be kinda stupid to say this in a school as it goes against what most schools say they are for. I have had students get into fights. I punish them for it regardless of whether they were defending themselves or not. Of course if the student was defending themselves he may get 10 push-ups and told to avoid fighting unless absolutley neccesary, while a student starting a fight will go through a LOT worse.
I OWN a school like this. If you start fights, then you're out. If you defend yourself, then I'll go to bat for you.
I brought up this post, because there is a school in the area where I live that encourages students to walk the streets and find people who seem to like to fight and test there ma moves. While I don't condone this, I do wonder what happens to the people who get into fights with these students. I here so many bad things from this school, even from blackbelts from this school. Unfortunately I do hear this school is teaching a sound MA that has applicability.
Um i train under a retired master, if i ever did that he'd kick my ass from here to korea (ps thats quite far)

To me that is completely irresponsible. That puts the students at risk, not to mention anyone they run across. When you are looking for a fight it is amazing how many other people you see that you'll think are also looking for a fight. Sounds to me like a sensei/sifu/shodon that has his head up his butt.

It seems this teacher is teaching CA instead of MA. You get were I'm comming from. That would be like the worst random encounter, finding a student that not only defends his terrotory but expands on it.

Sound like a real-life school that you see in that sequel of karate kids, where all the students wear black sleeveless uniforms, and the students were more like gang members than fellow learners.
