On the original Power Rangers the colors of the rangers costumes were race and gender based
Black Ranger- African American
Yellow Ranger- Asian
Pink Ranger- was a girl
Green+Blue- were white men no real color thing there, but the Green Ranger later became the white ranger
sorry for the thread de-rail

I think GK pegged me there. I could probably have avoided every fight I've ever been in. I'm not a bully, by any means, I just have a very thin sadistic streak that won't allow me to back down when I'm being pushed.
But I'm working on getting better.

We do not rise to the occasion in combat. We fall back on our training.
You will never learn if you are unwilling to see what you are doing wrong.
So I should stop wearing this red spandex one piece suit?
Only if you can't summon your zord to bail you out of a tight spot. If you can, then wear it with pride . When you walk into businesses wearing it and the owner tries to throw you out, you can summon your zord and accidentally waylay his or her store in the process. You can also summon your zord to keep those darn neighborhood kids away from your wife's flowers on the front porch.

Sometimes pride or an inner sense of having to punish someone for having the audacity to threaten you is one of the factors that makes people stay and engage when they should really be trying to de-escalate the situation and walk away. This is actually quite common, especially among the younger crowd (and no, I am not insinuating anything, just telling you what I have observed). You are working on getting better, which is more than what a lot of people out there are doing, so my hat goes off to you . I had a relative who was like this, but 100 times worse as a simple awkward stare from a harmless passerby would send him into a tazmanian devil like frenzy. I told him this - what if the perp draws a knife or a gun at the last minute? After seriously contemplating this question, said relative is now quite docile.

Good insite as to why some people get into fights. Intenionally or not.
I was unfortunate to grow up in a very rough area and had been beaten many times before I took up Muay Thai at 8 years old. I learned how to defend myself when it came to the actual fight. but more importantly how to spot the altercation being created and then being able to take the steps needed to stop it getting physical.
I'm now 32 and have more real fights than I care to think about. I joined the military with a large sence of 'duty and responsibility' to protect. Thats why i specialised in Ordnance disposal. Just a way of me giving a little back.
Now I can honestly say that being in a fight is the MOST scary thing i have ever done........However it was also the most exhilarating experience ever.......this is what gets most people into trouble who 'look' for fights to get their 'high'.
Oh and for the record. 1st responce to a 'fight' - run.
2nd responce to a 'fight' - neutralise the opposition. (this will only take place if myself, my family or a 'helpless' is is imminent danger.)
Cheers
Richard
