Yup, and if you use a quality broom, you might want to carry on using that broom, even if it wasn't your first intentions, it'll become something you'll want to carry on using. But, when in doubt, hire a maid.

That broom will teach you sweeping techiniques.

Compliment that broom with a dust pan and mop. The maid will help and may teach.

Home depot books only help so far.....

No use in having tools if one doesnt understand how to use them.
