This shouldnt even be graced with a response but I'm bored.

The hapkido "master" looks like a buffoon. I think he threw one kick the whole time, and no punches that I saw. I know high school kids that are more agressive than that. Hell the third round he just fell onto his own back. I want to see some research and see this "masters" qualifications.

Only idiots think that specializing in one range is the perfect way to train.

I disagree, he looked legit to me. He didn't look like some mcdojo dude it's just BJJ is better because after the fight goes to the ground its over.

He looked legit to you?!??!?!?

ROFLMAO. I know 16 year old girls that fight harder than that. How many strikes did the "master" throw? He was a joke. If that split he did before the fight impressed you then thats sad. I know a lot of guys that kick high and hard that cant do the splits.

I assure you that JJ master def found himself a scrub for this video. If the "master" would have atleast attacked with some sort of effort then I could give this video some credence. I've seen children fight with more passion and heart.

He didnt throw anything!!!!! Thats how I know. If he would have atleast tried to hit the guy then I could atleast give him the benefit of the doubt and say he lost to a better fighter.

Question for you, how well does this "ultimate" self defense work when facing two attackers??

Well when facing 2 vs. 1 you NEVER go to the ground. You're supposed to stay on your feet. I've never faced 2vs1 in a street fight yet, but JJJ and BJJ have some stand up techniques. Similar to Military boxing, simple jab/cross/righthook/lefthook/front +roundhouse. That's about it.

The video is gone. I myself get tired of all this BJJ vs this art stuff. A good hapkidoist would not just punch or kick, they would use one of hundreds of grab defense techniques the moment anyone touched them for any reason. If their first instinct from a grab or takedown is to punch or kick, then they are not a hapkido fighter, they are something else, xhances are a TKD fighter with what they believe passes for HKD instruction.

Amen brother. Although this video is gone, I think I've seen it. Oh puh-leeeeze HKD Master my left butt cheek!!!
Why don't one of these guys try that on GM Ji Han Jae(I'd love to see that!!!!), or any other Real Master or Grandmaster of Hapkido? No one style is the be-all & end all. We can ALL learn from each other.
YouTube - Hapkido Fighting Techniques
Here's a Hapkido Master who would fare quite well in one of those "Vs" type of clips.
G
P.S One of my close mates is a 4th degree in TKD & I train with him as often as I can, as I can learn stuff from him & he from me. I also started going to a new church recently where some MMA guys are also attending & I suggested training together. The suggestion was met with much enthusiasm & will be a benefit to us all in our quest to be the best we can be.

If this is the clip I think it is, then there was nothing to begin with to even identify this guy as a hapkidoist. Actually if it is the clip I think it is, then it has been attributed to several arts and not just hapkido.
