But i agree, it is confusing. look like he couldnt get arm bar and went to wrist lock.
I have had wrist locks used against me in bjj. they were used to move my arm to get it in a better position for something else. only one guy who has lots of weird sneaky moves has used them on me.

Ummm ok, he was going for an omoplata and couldn't turn over cause that sumo was so bigg so he just cranked the arm, it's a lazy man's omoplata. I would assume he felt it more in the shoulder then the wrist but who knows.
Great vid brotherman. As others have pointed out, your partners are jumping into the throws, but as you & I know & you've stated, the choices are jump or that horrible snapping sound!!!! Thanks for promoting our art on youtube. Cheers, G

I have to disagree with jumping with a technique. If the direction of your "jump" is changed or your weight comes down in an akward way you will get very hurt. Going yin to flow with a technique is smart. Jumping just adds momentum to whatever is being applied and is not so smart...unless your putting on a demo and trying to impress people enough to join your club.

Part of it is to impress however if your reciever jumps on things such as wrist locks it allows the person doing the tecnique to put it on faster and shows therefore shows what the correct technique is supposed to be
