"People don`t give them **** for not eating meat yet they can`t let me enjoy my venison in peace"
In this statement, you flat out say that people don't give vegetarians crap for not eating meat. This IS wrong. I see it at least once a week. You can think I'm a jerk for pointing this out, but it's the truth.
Do not presume that because I like the Japanese culture that I think everything about them is great, or that I "worship" them.

I can do better than find one vegetarian who has never preached to anyone about the virtues of their diet. I can find two.

Aside from pointing out that the above statement was wrong, I'm just kind of wondering what you thought was priggish? Is it just that I'm choosing not to accept your take on diet as fact? This very thread was begun as hostility toward vegetarians and vegans and was based on several fallacies and misconceptions. If I reacted to this hostility with hostility of my own, I didn't mean to.

I think fewer people would use it if the term rapeseed oil was more commonly known.

But don't let my joke get in the way of your fight.

Goddamit, its too late Chapel, you`ve gone and ruined everything!

Don`t worry, there is no more fight. The last round was how you would say, "a swing and a miss"

Seriously though, I agree with you regarding rapeseed oil. It just sounds wrong. It`s not the sort of thing one would use in a restaraunt setting,
"House salad: Gourmet lettuce, Roma Tomatos, fresh Basil leaves topped off with Balsamic vineger and..rapeseed oil "

It sounds so appealing...
