Sorry, don't know anything about them. Not trying to gain weight, trying to keep it about the same.

Home Country: | I'm drinking York fitness weight gain. It's just becuase I don't really get enough protein seeing as I eat like a typical student. Won't do me any harm, I think I'm probably active enough to get muscle instead of fat, and I need to put on weight anyway.

Home Country: | Hi,
Firstly you have to pick a good brand. MET RX are good so is ON. WHEY PROTEIN is the best sort of protein. Be carefull when buying protein drinks however as some are not designed for weight GAIN. I make my own drink
In a blender add,
2 scoopes of protein powder (approx 45 grms protein)
golden syrup (two tablespoons)
one big bannana
300ml of whole milk
When usedd corectly, these drinks are very effective. If used to often though with a bad diet, you may see yourself getting fat, so be carefull with them

Home Country: | It tastes like a bannana milkshake but slightly sweeter. Also it depends on what protein powder you use. ON supply cookie and cream flavour. With that you dont really need a bannana. The golden syrup will give you enough calories for a weight gainer drink and it tastes good.

Home Country: | I think they're pointless and stupid. You may as well enjoy your weight gain right? Why not just eat Mcdonalds/KFC/burger king/etc... for a week or two? You'll gain a couple (alot) of pounds that way AND you'll be able to enjoy it. |

That's some good stuff right there. |

Home Country: | Hehe some good ideas there i like the way you people think,
one question abut it thou is there any way to change the amount of fat around a sertion area of your body because if you are training that area the muscle will get bigger and it looks even bigger and tonning wont shrink it i hear alot of people saying they are working hard to get a six pack and see no result because of the layer of fat in front of the mucle or do you need to lower your intake and lose mass al over ? |

You're dead-on. You can build all the muscle you want, but if the layer of fat between muscle and skin is too thick, you won't be able to see them.
What you've got to do if you just want more obvious muscle, is to raise the amount of calories you burn in the day over the amount you consume. The good news is that building muscle helps this a bit, since muscle burns calories, even while you sleep. (And sleep, by the way, burns more calories than doing something brainless like watching TV. Doing something that requires thought, like reading an engaging book also burns more calories than watching TV, but I digress) So lower the amount of calories and increase your exercise, and your muscles will show off. I think Spinach once said that nearly everyone already has a six-pack, it's just hidden.
One further note: Target training to reduce fat in a particular area does not work. It will make the muscles in that area stronger, but fat is burned from the whole body, no matter how you exercise.
I'm still not really for the gaining weight artificially, but I'm also not interested in joining any weight-based competitions or the like.
