Chiropractic Care

I've been having a lot of lower back pain (for the past 5 - 6 years) and I decided to go see a chiropractor this week.

The X-ray clearly showed pinched joints on my lower back as well as curved spine (it should be straight). In order to "fix" these, I have to get regular adjustment for an extended period.

I know a lot of professional athletes swears by the benefits of chiropractic care, but at the same time many of the medical doctors dismiss them - saying they are not real doctors because their education is shorter than theirs and they can't write prescriptions.

What do you guys think?

I know my dad had had chronic back pain for years and just thought it was normal. He went to see a chiropractor and immediately felt 100% better. He of course had to keep going to keep it ok, but it definately helped him.

I know that your spine has to have curve, and not be straight. Or do you mean curved sideways?

I wish it's a quick fix.... It's gonna take a while to undo the damages I've done to my body.

Physical therapy, yes. Drugs, No.

First, you have to see a doctor and perhaps xray to see if ir is spinal/spine or muscular.

Sometimes a spasm will feel spinal.

I had taken the X-ray, which shows compressed nerves on my lower back where the pain is. Other side effects are as my body tries to compensate for the pain, my posture is crooked (curved spine and my head sticking out)

Why was your doctor's prognosis/diagnosis?

Acute spondolthesis? A torn annulus? Sciatica?

How did you injure it?

The prognosis is to get chiropractic care to relieve the pressured spine and realign.

I injured it 5 - 6 years ago while weight lifting. My back hasn't been the same since and I've just lived with the pain. Now, I just want to get it fixed.

Traction is a better and "easy" comfort of realigning.

Traction kits for a common bed can be found.

Once you start chiropractic care, your body tends to get addicted.

And, the condition or "reliance" of it worsens as well as the spine.

Research further and get other opinions from other physicians.

Then, come back here and I will post what my Shifu had done for me. (long and interesting story that involves my "spinal doctor")
