Home Country: | Culture-Era? Yeah, call me a Old Buzzard, or "Ol Skool", but is it a new culture era or trend/fad?
I've seen more people nowadyas get tatoos and piercings.
Now, more and more people are eating Sushi and drinking iced coffee.
These were looked pon with gross expressions "back-in-the day".
Heck, even Judo and Jui Jitsu were also frown upon.
Thoughts?

Home Country: | Generally I would say no but can't deny the certain culture influence.
As you mentioned, eating raw fish was frowned upon initially but it came more accepted and then became chic.
I don't want to say martial arts is same as sushi but initially people who weren't familiar with it were adversed to it, but with more and more acceptance from general public and even in all the movies and TV, it's cool or chic to say you practice martial arts.
Still, this doesn't count for all hard core guys who could careless about all others. |
