Some quick questions on protien supplements.

So questions on protien supplements.

1. What brand is good value for money? I used to take Musashi but that was getting too expensive at $60 to $70 a kilogram (2.2 lbs). Now I take a local product (Horleys) at about $40 a kilo but it doesn't blend as well nor taste as good.

2. Is there a difference between whey and soy protien? Should someone take soy protien if they are lactose intolerant or can they still take whey?

I am not familiar with the brands you are mentioning, I go with Cytosport products generally because they taste the best.

Whey Protein is digested and absorbed quickly and contains the highest ratio of amino acids per gram making it ideal for pre and post workout. Soy is also absorbed quickly, though not quite as quickly as whey. Pretty much everyone over the age of 12 is somewhat lactose intolerant, so it's really going to depend on HOW intolerant you are. Try making the shakes with water instead of milk for EITHER choice to avoid the issue or at least reduce it's effects.
