I enjoyed watching the previews,
they moved fast with little to no explanation, but I'm sure that's because they were previews.
Good Stuff, very interesting!!
That was their marketing slogan "multi faceted martial arts", with 365 kicks, 4000 techniques, xx number of weapons, grappling, joint manipulation, pressure points, meditation, etc.
I saw my instructor doing the demonstration at my university and I was awed. I was doing Tang Soo Do at the time, since Tae Kwon Do wasn't available, and I switched to Hwa Rang Do after that demo.
I just checked out the other thread: Hwa Rang Do Demonstration Videos
and founnd the "A&E Martial Arts Special" particularly interesting.
I don't exactly see eye to eye with the
"one movement finish the opponent, make surrender"
belief, but other than that Hwa Rang Do is very well represented!!
You have to remember that Hwa Rang Do has history that goes back 1800 years and mainly used during battle so they were not doing a lot of one one one competition with 5 minute rounds, it's kill one opponent as soon as possible, move on to the next opponent, etc.
