What you thnk about me?
Hey everybody, I am Devan, i'm 14, and i am a Martial Arts finatic. This is for everybody who has read my posts, and have heard my thoughts. I was wondering, because some other Martial Artist at my school said I am very much consieded (spelling) and I think I know everything about Martial Arts. I was wondering, based off of what you heard from me, your thoughts on me. Please comment, and i know this thread is kinda selfish sounding of me, but I just wanna know your thoughts.

Honestly, you sounded like a teen to me. You need to continue and study from others. Forums, books, vids, cannot be the best form of learning.
If you can afford video games, other entertainment, etc., than you can afford to go to an instructor.
If you have been training since you were 4 and now you are 14, you lack much experience. I dont think you should be on you own path when you are not even on your own responsibilities and cant even drive legally.
I have 30 year olds who still come to me for guidance.
Now, all of this aside, I value your post as a way of speech and for you to learn/understand.
So keep posting

Hey, my post count has the same palaverment tone as anyone elses'
i enjoy your posts, you have a lot of interesting opinions and given time i can see you mature into a great MAist... you have the drive and dedication, just need to match that with wisdom and experience which you are on the path of doing already. you have been a welcome addition to this forum..... but if people think that you are conceeded (i can't spell either) then you might need to work on bing more humble. "a persons greatest wisdom consists of knowing ones faults"
Mr. Devan, I thinkyour like the rest of us. We all have the MA passion in some form or another. I can certainly relate to that. Sometimes we read and learn so much that the information kind of pours back out on its own. That can come off a little bit like a know it all. Keep in mind, you just can't underestimate the value of one on one guidance. Through hell or high water, find an instructor.
Maybe the question is, what do you think of yourself? Sometimes that image of ourself bleeds through the image we're trying to project.
Sometimes we get so caught up with image, that we loose the sense of who we are and reserve what we really want to do.
I for one am not concerened with my image here.
But for my family, students, work cohorts, my image has to be genuine.
People who know me personally, accept who I am, not what I project.
Therefore, they know my actions define me.
Through your actions and words people develop an image and understanding of who you are. You control the reality of their perception. What you project at any given time adds to that perception.
You seem to be a good kid. You have respect for others and (like disgruntled said) you have the drive and determination to achieve great things. Keep that passion. You may wanna train with instructors or find somebody to give you some good ideas and concepts. Learning about other styles helps you learn about yourself and your own.

I was speaking in terms of un-natural projection. Putting on a "face/mask"

A very wise person told me once, you have 2 eyes and 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason, do twice as much hearing/seeing (learning) than you do speaking and things will be ok.

And a pie hole and bung hole both put out crap.

I don't really know what you're talking about. Is it in terms of what I don't know what people see me as?
