Poofy,

Welcome, and good luck with your dreams of a dojo. The arts can always use another good one.

Keep at it and you'll get there. As I've read somewhere, remember, a black belt is just a white belt that didn't give up.

Rick.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad to be a poster on this forum. Where I live not many people besides a few like to talk about martial arts. So I am glad to find a really cool place like this to talk about the thing I love most.

Thanks Concrt for the encouragement.

Greetings,

and I don't think I "deserve" another thread, I'm also a "newbie" here . Although I do not actively go to a martial-art gym, I am interested in various style such as Kung-Fu or basically anything that has to do with a Bo.

I also a little new here to. Welcome to the forum Slashmire. I am also interested in Kung-Fu. I think that it is the most elegant out of all the martial arts. I teach myself a little bit from books know too.

Hey Poofy.... I like to see brothers & sisters get envolved in martial arts. 9 yrs difference between me and my sis so there wasn't much competition going on or doing activities until she got alot older. Are you'll very competitive?

It is so much better to have bros/sisters in it together, especially if they are around the same age and stuff. When I started out my bro and i were two years apart in it together. That was motivation for us to train hard everyday and get even deeper into it out side of class.
