Thanks for the advice

Thanks kenpodog for the advice: I plan to visit a couple of schools and than I will make my dicision. Although I do have to admit that I like the fast multiple strikes of Kenpo and I don't know if I have ever seen an arnis practitioner. Thanks agian.
Oh, what wepons to the respective styles use?

Oh, what wepons to the respective styles use?
I think every school is different when it comes to teaching weapons.
My Kenpo school teaches nun-ckucku, kama, bo-staff, bastons, sword, knife, etc...
Not everyone chooses to learn these weapons and only some of them are requirements.

As for Arnis, (all weapons )
My friend jomar (on this forum) is an Arnis expert,
he can tell you much more than I can.

Hi hello w4dibbs, but first i need to know whers your location first to guide you in arnis school , as i see in profile you have thesame interst like kenpodog, maybe kenpodog may guide you on your quest tru this journey in kenpo and arnis. right kenpodog my friend?! for your info we have a lot of system in Kali or also known us Arnis, Escrima..

Basically, there is no difference. The general martial arts community uses
the different names to refer to the same art. Originally, the difference in
the name either implied the region from which the art originated or the
time period when the art was developed. These three names, and there are many
others, refer to Filipino Martial Arts where skills in both empty hand and
weapons are developed using similar, if not the same, training methods to
teach both. Practitioners of these arts are noted for their ability to fight
with weapons or empty hands interchangeably.

Eskrima and Arnis are the names primarily used in the Philippines today.
The name Kali is seldom used in the Philippines and in most cases is an unknown word.

again welcome on this forum my friend, to help you first i need to know wheres your location first is
