Hi. My Name is Vin. I live in Singapore and i'm 17 this year. I just passed my Taekwondo Blackbelt promotion last year by luck. (Just because i did better in the sparring session) Upon realising i'm still not having enough knowledge about self defence, i joined this forum, and hope i can learn more from everyone of you.

hello knuckles, nice to meet you and welcome to the site.
congratulations on your promotion. way i see it. black belt is the beginning of another journey in your martial arts training.
youve met the requirments and competence of the basics from white through black. now you can focus on improving them. your self defense will get better over time also
so dont down yourself. as long as you stick with training and dont do like some people do after theyve made black black belt and quit.

im with them on that also its not luck.....especially if you were tested. like Shirindo said. your instructors saw something in you.
dont take it as useless. take it as continuing the journey in martial arts of honing your skills even when your self training. that'll help out alot when u get back to the dojang
