New to the forums

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hey and give a little background on myself. I have been training in martial arts for most of my life, Started out in Tang soo do, then Shotokan and Tae Kwan Do. Most recently I got my blackbelt in Youn Wha Ryu and have become an instructor at my college. I also have begun training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I look forward to chatting about MA with you all.

Actually it's a friend of mine who goes to the same college. He fights in an amateur MMA league in KY. He trained in BJJ before he came to school, but he had no real formal stand up fight training. So I began teaching him how to fight on his feet and he has been working on my ground game. We started an unnoficial club on campus where we train in MMA, we have about 15 - 20 regular members. I really want to find a formal school where I can learn, but with my current situation this is the best I can do, though I can say that even though Youn Wha incorporates ground fighting, My ground game has increased tremendously since we have been training together.

That's great, trading techniques is always a good way to learn stuff. Does your friend have a belt rank in BJJ? I'm just curious. What college are you attending? I might be able to refer you to some people out that way for BJJ.

Are you at or near Murrary state? Does your friend fight at the UCF events?
