The medals are definitley easier to pack awway in a box downstairs. I gave away the trophies because I just didn't have the room. Medals are usually cheaper to buy for tournament promoters, so it works all the way around
I like those medals. Keep up the good work. I picked up 2 1rst place trophies in Orlando a couple weeks ago. I didnt think that it would matter but it does.

Is anyone else a much bigger fan of medals than trophies? I just think medals are cooler and less consuming of space.
I like medals as long as they state what it was for. i.e. on the back it should read something like "1st place Blackbelt FORMS 2008" or something like that. I also competed over the weekend. I took home three first places. Kata, weapons, and sparring. Clean sweep FTW!
Good Job Ram! I have to warn you though....winning is addictive. When you win one, you want another...and another and another.....LOL
Congratulations on the medals and welcome to the forums, Ram.
