Okay got hold of a book by a feller called ashida kim, he seems quit controversial but basically is the stuff hes written worth studying
the books called secrets of the ninja, it sounds corney and Im unsure weather to trust it, it gives instruction on meditation but its completely different to meditation im used to
Fujita Seiko (if im spelling that right) was the last Koga ninja, an even he was doubted by the senior martial arts archivists
and historians in Japan. when he died in the 60s he didnt pass on the Koga tradition to anyone.
That's what the koga want you to think.
I think Chapel's one of them. Have you seen the pictures of how well he can hide?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
He is a fake, check out his history, lots of dodgy things going on there. We were actually talking about him at TSD today, I only heard of him a few weeks ago, did a bit of my own research and found some pretty interesting stuff about him. But I'm almost completely sure he is a fake. The fact there is a video of him on youtube performing the so-called 'kata dante' which is dubious in itself is proof enough.
If his techniques are sound, learn them.
However, I doubt the validity of some of his techniques, mostly based on the number of his books that detail "deadly" attacks.
Apart from the strength of his techniques, I also believe that he has fallen from the Way, if he was ever on it, for the same books as described above. Handing out knowledge of deadly attacks without the training that ingrains the discipline of when to use them is irresponsible. Or, if the techniques don't work, then handing out false information to gain money and calling it a martial art is just as despicable.
I think I'm actually going to head out to Half-Price Books and see if I can find any of his stuff. See if it's solid stuff or not.
Edit: Should have watched the video prior to responding. The attacks in the video are undisciplined. I've seen more effective attacks in a line of yellow belts practicing a single goshin jitsu technique. Oddly, what I watched of the techniques of themselves were sound, he just fails to properly execute them with any speed. His explanation of how the techniques are deadly, however, are out there. They are all techniques that our karate teaches (In fact, he trained under Master Trias, Sensei Smith's sensei). We use the block that he claims will break the artery in the bicep, and as far as I know, none of the students have suffered anything more than moderate bruises. Snapping someone's neck is never an easy thing, though the palm strike to the chin is brutal, whether or not you break the neck. The eye gouge is a solid attack, as is the ear strike (though I wouldn't count on driving a bone deeper into the ear, rupturing the eardrum, that's like driving someone's nose into their brain, too many variables for it to happen regularly). Etc... Etc...

Ashida Kim *sigh* this has been a very very veryyyyy sad try to become a Ninja...he is a total Fake, Koga Ninjas no longer exist they are all dead. Here in Panama we have a "Koga Ryu Ninjutsu" expert and went to our dojo cause he is friend of my shidoshi, he gave us a seminar and I couldn't beleive how fake and not effective were his techniques.
Bask to Ashida, he is one of the persons that make Ninjutsu look bad and make people run from this wonderful art
i actually know where you ninjitsu guys are coming from, since one of my close friends practiced ninjistu and he saw this book and he bought then burned it to show the disrespect that the man is showing to all practitioners of the fine art of ninjistu

When he said artery, he meant capillary .
Didn't watch the second video until now. Is the speech about the forum being deadly part of the form? It seems to be identical both times and he prattles it off really quickly.
Like I said, this guy has some solid moves down, but he makes ridiculous claims about them. It's too bad there was so much bad blood around Master Trias. I know that Sensei Smith had problems with the USKA after Master Trias died, and I've read a whole bunch of other stuff about things his other students did.
Really makes me glad that the lot of us can get together and talk about stuff, despite different instructors or styles.

couple of years back Mr. Radford Davis a.k.a Ashida Kim was investigated by wikipedia and bullshido
he threatened the owner of wikipedia because of what was posted about his controversial claims. thats why there as much info on him
as there was before on wikipedia. some of the guys at bullshido raised money for his thousand dollar challenge match that he has on his page. but he ducked out of it ever since then
Ashida's cult at his forum have been cyber warring with bullshido.....very very funny stuff.
