Yes in a way you are correct, but this style was originally created as a combat art. Unlike most martial arts that target certain body parts with each attack, Shin Shu Ryu targets only the pressure points through out the human body. Shin Shu Ryu can also be used from any position, standing, ground, air. Opponents really have no way to defend against it because no matter the guard or position of the body there are always points exposed to strike.

It was passed down from father to son for many generations. My father was the 1st one to open up a school to others not belonging to our family. He would only teach a very select few people through out the years. There are a few skills that will always rest within the family. I believe that for this style to live on it needs to be passed to future generations just not by my family but my many. But in order to honor the traditions passed to me I will only pass the final techniques to my daughter when the time comes. Her training will begin on her 5 birthday which is in August.

The next point is Tento. It is located about .5 inch above the middle of the hairline. The effects that can be caused by the striking of this point are stimulation of the brains nerves, fainting, concussion, fracture, death.

I'm sorry but due to a problem with our scanner I'm unable to post the diagram at the moment

very interesting in taijutsu we strike so as the opponents brain will hit the back of their skull causing uncociousness is this a similar idea?
