Its all been a bit of a surprise actually! I have just been going to the class when I can. We had a level exam today and I got my first level-yay! I thought I was still at the clumsy oaf stage
Its quite exiting to learn the Krause brothers learned from Dan Inosanto who learned from Bruce Lee, this all very important apparently
I seem to have landed on my feet with this school, I only went cus it looked friendly and approachable! I'm a lucky girl. I'm all exited and and inspired
Congrats...I thought at one time JKD had colors (not belts) for their levels?....
Thanks
Well I only heard about all this on Sunday but guru said there are four levels with stages, I'm not sure, is that a JKD thing or a thing specific to this school?
Thanks

What?
I had asked: at one time JKD had colors (not belts) for their levels?....
So your school class has colors....or you dont know if JKD has colors?
My school used to have colours but the system is now as I said, when I learn more I'll be able to tell you more. I guess JKD has colours as that's quite a common way of measuring ability in MA but I don't know. I would have thought you would know more than me about this having been in the MA world longer than me.
Your posts feel confrontational, its not the first time I've felt this about your words, you might want to look at how you approach people online, people cant see your body language and what might be acceptable face to face is prickly on txt.
I find using smilies can soften txt that seems cold :

First, I ask questions, though unremittingly, as to understand what the poster is trying to say. No where in your post did you actually state your school had colors.
Your statement: Well I only heard about all this on Sunday but guru said there are four levels with stages, I'm not sure, is that a JKD thing or a thing specific to this school?
seems to be on topic of levels, not colors. Though English may seem universal or common, everyone around the globe have a different way of writing something.

I dont have to be "educated" about internet etiquette. Indeed, my forthright idiosyncrasy of composition, would appear to be brash. People are not accustomed to this because they are so used to forum blithe. My words are not directed to you personally, they are just direct.
